He accepted Christ at the age of 24 and was called into the ministry the following year. He served as Pastor of Independent Missionary Baptist Church, Brooklyn, Mississippi from 1981-1986; Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Gulfport, Mississippi from 1986-1989 and Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church from 1989 to present. He is a Bible Scholar, accomplished teacher, and a preacher of God’s Word.
He served four years in the U.S. Army. Pastor Davis is affiliated with numerous religious and civic organizations. He serves as Dean of Union Chapel Bible College and instructor for the Alabama Baptist State Congress of Christian Education and National Baptist Congress of Christian Education. He is an avid lecturer and speaker.
During the past nighteen years with Pastor Davis serving as the under-shepherd of Union Chapel, the church has experienced tremendous growth and blessings. In January 2002, the church moved into its new multi-million dollar facility on the site of one hundred and fifty acres. Later a
Pastor Davis enjoys running, reading, and winning souls for Christ. He and his wife, Dora, are the proud parents of three boys, Michael, Aaron and Timothy.
